JOAN ANN CLANCY 1936 - 2009 Suddenly on April 7, 2009, we are extremely sad to announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Joan is predeceased by her mother and father, Claude and Margaret Annable. She is survived by her loving husband Sandy of 52 years; her daughter Maureen (Larry); her sons Greg and Brian and grandchildren, Amanda, Jenna, Scott, Jordan and Kevin. She is also survived by her brothers, Frank (Esther), Lloyd (Bertha) and sister Doreen and numerous nieces and nephews. Mom and Dad loved travelling and playing golf together, and belonged to a bridge club and earlier in their marriage a bowling league. Mom enjoyed a lengthy career in the mortgage department with the Royal Bank; she treasured family gatherings and always looked forward to visits with her children and grandchildren. She also had a love of music; classic rock, soul, and country and enjoyed attending country music festivals. She will be forever missed. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Avenue. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
